Lois Cromwell

Lois is the founder and owner of Sonda Yoga. She took her very first yoga class in 1999 and from that moment on fell in love with yoga. Since then she has studied extensively. She completed her first 200-hour teacher training in 2003, her first 500-hour teacher training in 2014, a second 500-hour training in 2015, and most recently completed another 300 Hour Teacher training in 2019. It’s safe to say she loves to be a student.

Lois teaches Ashtanga Vinyasa, Vinyasa, Yin, and Meditation. Her passion is teaching yoga and training students to become yoga teachers. She also loves to combine her love of yoga and travel and has been running yoga retreats, (mostly outside of the United States), for the past twelve years.

When she’s not practicing or teaching yoga she’s spending time with her husband, three wonderful daughters, grandson, and extended family.

Liz Roeder

Liz’s yoga journey began in 2014 when she heard about a 30-day yoga challenge and decided to try something new. She dove in head first and along the journey fell in love: yoga felt like home.

In early 2017, Liz signed up for a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Lois. Learning more about yoga and diving deeper into her own practice was transformative. Without a doubt, Liz knew she wanted to share yoga with others and become a teacher. In 2022, Liz completed her 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Lois through Sonda Yoga, and has since been a co-facilitator for Sonda Yoga leading both 200 and 300 hour Teacher Trainings with Lois.

To Liz, yoga is a balance of innately knowing and always learning; of strengthening and softening both mind and body. Her classes aim to provide strength and mobility while being grounded in breath and fluidity.

When she isn’t teaching or practicing yoga, Liz loves cooking, gardening, walking and spending time with her husband, Tom, and three sons, Brodie, Carson & Anderson.
